Closing Process Group is the last process group in the PMBOK. But it does not mean all the activities of the processes of this process group are done last. Many of the activities under the only one process of this process group are done during the project life-cycle. Some of the activities of the processes of this process group which are done during the project life-cycle are as following.

Release team member when his/her work is done
Release vendor when his/her work is done
Document the lesson learned and communicate to the organization if something important lessons are learned and this can impact the organization immediately.
Update preferred or blacklist vendor database
